A Terrace High School Is Selling Tickets For The Skeena’s First Virtual Musical

The one-night-only show airs May 15.

The annual musical put on by Caledonia Performing Arts is normally a sold-out show. But doing the performance this year during the pandemic presented some challenges. So students at the secondary school in Terrace decided to get creative.

The event will now be streamed online on May 15. “Caledonia Performing Arts is thrilled to announce our annual musical with a virtual twist,” explains a new promo video created by Skeena River Media. “You’ll get to watch as a group of vibrant high school students navigate their way through a school week like no other, full of laughs, heartfelt moments and of course the catchy songs that bring the stage to life.”

Skeena River Media filmed the musical earlier this spring. “These students have been working incredibly hard and due to Covid restrictions can’t play in front of their typical sold-out REM theatre!” the organization writes on Facebook. “Be sure to buy a ticket and support the local arts! This is going to be lots of fun!”

The musical will be streamed on Saturday May 15, “just as if it were a live performance.”
