Here’s What The Flooding In New Remo Looks Like From Up In The Air

The community is still on evacuation alert.

Evacuation orders have been lifted for communities along the Skeena and Kalum Rivers.

But increased water levels are still a concern, and have led to flooding in some areas.

Local drone operator Scoopeddad Drone was on the scene this week in New Remo, which is still on evacuation alert and got a little wet this week.

“A great night to be out checking the local flooding,” he says in a new drone video surveying the area.

The situation isn’t quite stabilized yet as far as flood risk.

“An evacuation order may need to be reissued as the situation unfolds as [The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine] continues to monitor all areas,” the Terrace Standard reports
