Check Out This Celebrated Rupert Sushi Restaurant: Sim liksgadim wilaa x̱lil̓

Fukasaku of Prince Rupert is moving into a new location.

People in the Skeena region know that you don’t have to travel to some fancy big city to get the world’s best sushi. You can get it right here in Prince Rupert. With access to the best and freshest wild salmon on the west coast, Chef Dai Fukasaku is preparing some seriously creative and mouth-watering dishes.

Check them out in this new video, which includes “sesame marinated sockeye and avocado”, “fisherman’s miso soup”, “cured coho and chum roe salad”, “pink salmon kamaboko cake”, and “chinook tataki.”

Fukasaku of Prince Rupert was the first sushi restaurant in B.C. to be 100 percent Ocean Wise certified, meaning that all the seafood it serves is caught in ways that promote healthy oceans, in addition to being absolutely delicious.

Sadly, you can’t visit the restaurant now, as Fukasaku is in the middle of a move to a different location. But Fukasaku promises that “the new spot is already looking shiny and good!”

Here’s some pics to check out while you wait for it to open.
