With the second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine set to be delivered starting next Monday, Northern Health has once again put out a call for volunteers, with a sign up sheet available online here.

The second vaccination clinic for the Prince Rupert Area will take place June 14 to July 9th at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre. The clinic will run Monday through Saturday and it will not be in operation on Canada Day.

There are a range of positions available for those who can volunteer their time, from greeters to registration help, as well as flow monitors and observation area assistance.

You can sign up for as many shifts as you wish to participate in and for those that do a lunch will be provided.

The first vaccination clinic in Prince Rupert took place in mid-March and has been recognized by the province as one that was well administered. The province made particular note of the enthusiasm of the volunteers who gave of their time.

The results of that first clinic have also been seen in the statistical review of COVID in the region, with Prince Rupert recently celebrating reaching zero cases of the virus for the last two weeks.

Residents of the region are reminded that they do need to register for the second dose clinic, more on that process is available here.
