VIDEO: Omicron Screwed Up Xmas Plans So People In Smithers Got Creative

They called their event the COVID Christmas Parade.

Omicron arrived this holiday season like an unwanted guest at the dinner table.

But rather than mope and whine about dealing with upended holiday plans, people in Smithers got creative.

The town recently hosted a COVID Christmas Parade, where people decorated their vehicles with holiday lights.

“Everyone is all for it, a lot of people are messaging me saying it’s a great idea,” Ben Webb, one of the local organizers, told MyBulkleyLakesNow.

Leah Germain was there to watch the parade and she uploaded an awesome video to YouTube.

By all accounts the parade was a massive success.

“So many kids just loved it,” one person posted on Facebook.
