VIDEO: Raw Footage Of Fire Rescue Squad Battling Blaze In Prince Rupert

No injuries have yet been reported.

There was a major fire Monday night in downtown Prince Rupert. 

“Firefighters successfully rescued one victim from the second floor upon initial arrival. All occupants accounted for,” reads a Facebook post early Tuesday morning from the Prince Rupert Fire Rescue squad. No injuries have yet been reported. 

The blaze broke out in “the 600 block of Second Ave West,” the Northern View reports, “in the building which houses residential tenants above, and commercial businesses below.”

A large crowd gathered to watch the fire and someone shot footage of firefighters battling the blaze. Watch the video here

It is unclear at the moment what caused the fire.
